Flights to Madeira from United States

The United States has a single nonstop link to Madeira: United's seasonal Newark (EWR)–Funchal service, the first-ever scheduled nonstop between the US mainland and the island, launched in June 2025 on a Boeing 737 MAX 8 and expanded for summer 2026. It is a long, thin summer route rather than a year-round trunk. All other US cities — including New York-JFK and Boston, formerly served nonstop by Azores Airlines — now connect, typically via Ponta Delgada or Lisbon.
